Join us for a sauna session at the Climate Carnival

Business For Biodiversity Ireland is thrilled to be official partners with Climate Cocktail Club and Laois County Council for this year’s Climate Carnival, in Ballintubbert House & Gardens, Co. Laois.

The theme From Silos to Systems covers four systems: Ocean, Food, Habitats, Culture with five zones, four stages, 50+ speakers, 30+ sessions, live music, workshops, comedy, keynotes, activations, and a room where CEOs, farmers, scientists, policymakers, artists and activists end up cheek-and-jowl instead of in their usual separate industry events.

BFBI is co-sponsoring the Sauna Sessions, Tuesday, 15 September from 12–2pm, a unique festival field trip in Stradbally to explore ecology, aquaculture, recreation and the history and culture of our landscape and waterways.

Guest speakers include eco-mythologist and bean-seanchaí The Mountain Mermaid, adventure athlete Daragh Morgan, fisheries expert Ken Whelan and landscape architect Clair McDonald.

Our team including BFBI Executive Director Dr Maria Fitzpatrick will be on hand throughout the two-day festival (find our stand in the Habitats tent) to chat about our work and how Irish businesses can take the lead in the move to a nature-positive economy. Our Strategy Track members Irish Trees will also have a display on site about their biodiversity-boosting tree-planting work with Irish organisations.

Only a few tickets remaining for the field trip, €50pp, including sauna, hot tub, talks, mocktails and lunch. Use our discount code for all carnival events: BFBI30!
