Privacy Policy

Business For Biodiversity Ireland is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains when and why we collect personal information, and how we use and store it.

We collect personal information in the following ways:

  1. When you register as a member of Business For Biodiversity Ireland, we collect your name, email address, details about your organisation, role and sector, plus information on your areas of interest and areas of expertise. The purpose of this is for us to know who our subscribers are and what they are interested in so that we can deliver relevant communications and events.
  2. Registration data are stored on WordPress and periodically exported for analysis in Excel, with the files stored on Dropbox. You can de-register and have your data permanently removed at any time by emailing manager@businessforbiodiversity.ie.

2) Registering as a member automatically signs you up to receive email newsletters from us. Newsletter mailing lists are stored on Mailchimp.com. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom, or by emailing manager@businessforbiodiversity.ie.

3) When you sign up for events, we collect your name, contact information, and, on occasion, dietary and logistical requirements through the ticket registration process, occasionally via the Eventbrite app which has its own privacy policy, in order to facilitate your attendance.

4) We also use anonymised data to understand how visitors to our websites are using the site. These data are collected by Visitor Analytics and stored on WordPress.

Newsletter signup data are stored on Mailchimp and other sign-up data in WordPress. We will never sell your data or share it with third parties without your consent.

If you have any questions, please contact us: manager@businessforbiodiversity.ie.
