The Nature Strategy Accelerator Programme: How it all works

You want to take credible action for nature?
Pull up a seat!

Welcome to the Discovery Track.

The Discovery Track is the gateway to the Nature Strategy Accelerator Programme and is all about broadening your understanding of the biodiversity crisis and the context of your business or sector.

We’ll introduce you to the ACT-D framework, a logical approach to assessing your nature-related issues and creating a nature strategy. The ACT-D framework aligns with TNFD and CSRD.

We will also cover other relevant themes and emerging biodiversity topics as they relate to business. You can stay on the Discovery Track for as long as you need and there will be no fee.

Commitments and action on nature can be driven by employees but ultimately must be supported by the business decision-makers, so we have developed a Biodiversity Commitment which must be signed by a member of the organisations senior executive team. This is your key to accessing the next phase of the journey, The Action Track.

Once you level up from the Discovery Track, an annual fee will be applicable. Tracks 2, 3 and 4 have associated fees. The fees are aligned with grants that are available from your Local Enterprise Office, Enterprise Ireland, Údarás or the IDA. Fees are paid annually and grant-writing support is available. The annual fee is the same, regardless of the track (2, 3 or 4) that you sit in and you can move through these tracks at your own pace.

  • < 50 People
  • €1800
  • Aligned with Green for Business and Climate Action Voucher grant funding
  • >50 People
  • €5000
  • Aligned with GreenStart and GreenPlus grant funding

Once you apply for progression to tracks 2, 3 or 4, we will conduct a maturity assessment to determine which is the most appropriate track for you to join.

Ready to get stuck in? This is the Action Track.

This programme is an iterative process and the aptly named Action Track is the first phase of work on the way to taking credible action for nature. When you level up to the Action Track you can expect a change in tempo, this is where the real work begins. With a cohort of other responsible, conscientious businesses, we will guide you through the process of assessing your nature-related DIROs. What are DIROs? Dependencies, Impacts, Risks and Opportunities. We will help you to conduct a high-level materiality assessment which will help you to prioritise your efforts and align your nature ambition with your climate and social goals.

The output of the Action Track is a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), and it’s the key to progressing to the Track 3: Strategy.

Credible, robust, impactful. The Strategy Track will get you there.

Once you’ve unlocked the door with your DMA, the Strategy Track awaits. Join a cohort of like-minded businesses, at a similar stage in their journey and define your nature ambition. Create a nature strategy and set science-based targets that will deliver positive outcomes for people, planet and nature.

Transformation is here. #JoinTheEvolution Track.

You’ve released your nature strategy and everyone thinks you’re great, but how are you going to deliver on your strategic objectives? Developing a clear implementation plan with ways to measure, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of your actions is critical. The Evolution track will support you in developing your implementation plan while complying with reporting requirements.

Then you do it all again. See you back in the Action Track!
